During my recent stay at Hotel Peten, I found it to be a solid choice for a relaxing getaway amidst East Africa’s charm. The pool area, with views of the lake, is inviting, especially at sunset. My kids absolutely loved taking the plunge off the small pier—what a treat! The rooms were comfortable, with serene lake views that made unwinding easy. A special highlight was the breakfast, which provided great fuel for our adventures. We even had a delightful packed lunch prepared for our early tour to Tikal, where our knowledgeable guide enriched our experience. On the relaxation front, the spa services are worth considering, especially after a long day exploring. While there are more budget-friendly options nearby, Hotel Peten offers a balance of comfort, practicality, and scenic beauty, making it a solid base for anyone looking to discover the surrounding area.
